There are a number of resources available to you to help pay for your college expenses. As a veteran, a current active duty member, or a dependent of military, you may be entitled to VA benefits, tuition reductions, or tuition assistance programs while enrolled at the University of Washington.

The Veterans Center is a place for veterans to connect with other veterans. In addition, the center provides access to university resources specifically designed for veterans. It provides a place where veterans can find and build their community within the university.

Please visit the VA certifying officials located in the Veterans Center. They are a great resource to guide you through the complex process of receiving your benefits.

The Office of Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards has developed a listing of scholarships for military and their families.

You are eligible to receive a waiver of your tuition and fees (50% of in-state rate)* if you are a Washington domiciliary who was an active or reserve member of the United States military or naval forces, or a national guard member called to active duty, who served in active federal service, under either the Title 10 or Title 32 of the United States code, in a war or conflict fought on foreign soil or in international waters or in another location in support of those serving on foreign soil or in international waters, and if discharged from service, has received an honorable discharge.
