The School of Social Work takes seriously its responsibility to protect the privacy of subjects involved in research projects.
Although there is no formal University of Washington policy concerning Confidentiality Agreements, they serve as an educational tool and may serve to reduce liability. Therefore, Principal Investigators are strongly encouraged to ask research staff, including research assistants, and fiscal and office staff, to sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
Once signed, the Agreement with the original inked signature should be kept in the project's files and a copy forwarded to David Takeuchi for Deans' Office human subjects applications file. Follow this link to view a Confidentiality Agreement that is currently under use by a research project at the School of Social Work.
