The undergraduate Organization of Student Social Workers is supporting the 18th Annual RAYS Holiday Festival that provides a hot meal and carnival atmosphere for more than 300 children and their families, living in poverty or suffering the impact of illness or trauma. This annual event is sponsored by the Renton Area Youth and Family Services and takes place at Renton High School. The newly purchased warm clothing that you donate will be distributed as welcome holiday gifts during the event. All sizes—children, teen and adult—are accepted.

Please drop off new clothing in the bin located on the the ground floor of the School of Social Work building by Tuesday, Dec. 6.

This annual event is a bright spot in what can be a difficult season for families touched by loss or financial hardship and who are unable to fulfill their children's wishes. All the holiday guests leave the event with a new item of warm clothing that they can select in our pop-up store. Your contribution will make it possible to stock the store with a great selection of warm clothes in all sizes to ward off the cold and wet Northwest winter. For questions about this fundraiser, send an email to ossw@uw.edu. Thank you for sharing the warmth of this holiday season.
