Fieldwork

Our BASW program provides you with the hands-on skills you need to become a social work professional. As a BASW student, you will participate in a social work internship, providing you with a supportive learning environment, a field instructor to provide encouragement and guidance, and invaluable work experience to add to your resume. During Autumn, Winter, and Spring of their senior year, students spend two days per week (16 hours) at a field site. They are supervised by an MSW and build skills in micro, mezzo, and macro levels of social work. For details, see Field Education.
