MSW Part-Time Program

Formerly known as the Extended Day Program (EDP), the MSW Part-Time Program offers students a more flexible path towards a master’s degree in social work. Students attend all four quarters per year (Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer) and take 9-11 quarters to complete the degree, with classes being held either in the evenings, on the weekends, or fully online.

For different program options, visit the Part-Time MSW Program page.

A sample schedule for each quarter can be found on the Part-Time MSW Program Coursework and Field Work  page.

Practicum Placement Process

Accessible Accordion

MSW Part-Time students have two practicum placements: one in their Generalist year and one in their Specialized year.

The Generalist Practicum provides students with a range of learning opportunities across micro, mezzo, and macro practice.

The Specialized Practicum is tailored to a student’s chosen specialization and offers broader responsibilities and more complex skill development.

*MSW Part-Time Advanced Students will only complete their specialized practicum.
