MSW Extended Degree Program

Our three-year Extended Degree Program offers students a part-time path to earn a master’s degree in social work. It’s a popular option for working adults who cannot carry a full-time course load. Classes are generally held either in the evening or weekend, attracting a diverse group of working professionals, including rural practitioners. The degree is earned in 9 to 11 consecutive quarters, including summers.

Students select either an in-person or a hybrid learning format. In our part-time in-person option, classes are offered weekly on weekday evenings. For our part-time hybrid path, classes are offered as a mix of both in-person and remote learning. Electives for all part-time students are generally offered on weekday evenings and Saturdays.
