This upcoming application round, all incoming prospective students dedicated to pursuing school social work, and current MSW students are eligible to apply. The WSW will begin when you enter your specialized practicum year.

Application steps:

1. Only relevant for incoming MSW applicants: Apply for the MSW program with UW Seattle School of Social Work for the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
2. Complete the FAFSA or WASFA
3. Fill out the WSW state application → Apply for WSW: Workforce for Student Well-being → Select UW-Seattle. Please apply if you are entering your specialized year Fall 2025, and graduating Spring 2026. If you are an incoming MSW student in the Day or EDP programs, you may apply as an incoming student or wait to apply the Spring before your specialized year begins. If you are selected for the WSW for this cycle and are a first year Day or EDP student, you would not begin the WSW Community of Practice, or start your required placement in a high need Learning Education Agency until your specialized year in the MSW program.
