MSW Application Process for CWTAP
The first step is to apply to the UW School of Social Work MSW degree program. Applicants may apply to the CWTAP Program while their UW MSW application is still under review; however, CWTAP cannot issue an official offer of admission until applicants provide their formal acceptance letter from the UW School of Social Work.
All CWTAP application materials must be completed and submitted by the stated deadline. After the deadline passes, applicants will be notified if they have been selected for an interview.
All applicants who are not currently employed by the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) must successfully complete background checks and reviews of state records related to child abuse and neglect. Because CWTAP scholars may become future DCYF employees, applicants must also provide documentation verifying their eligibility to work in the United States. Current DCYF employees must obtain approval from their local regional administrators in order to be considered for CWTAP.
