During Your MSW Program

Participate in the Community for Advanced Practice Skills (CAPS) over the course of Foundation → Specialized Years of MSW Program. Current students can find CAPS Overview, a Practicum Instructor FAQ, Student FAQ, and the course calendar here.

Complete your specialized practicum at a WDI-approved Community Behavioral Health and/or Tribal Health Agency in Washington State. Click here to review the WDI’s complete list of community behavioral health agencies. Read about program eligibility here.
Post Graduation:

Complete your post-graduation service commitment, securing a job at a WDI-approved agency within 2 months of graduating:

One year of conditional grant funding → 18 months post-graduation employment

Two- or three- years of grant funding → 36 months of post-graduation employment
If recipients do not fulfill their practicum and/or employment requirements, do not participate in WDI CAPS Training, or no longer remain in good standing with their university program—recipients must then repay the amount of the grant that has been awarded to date.
