Financial Awards
Funding will be distributed to Ballmer Workforce Development Initiative Recipients the Friday before tuition is due that quarter. It is your responsibility to pay tuition through the regular process, and register for classes in a timely manner. If you are a current Workforce Development Ballmer Scholar, and have a change in your distribution schedule, or do not receive your payment by the anticipated deadline, please immediately email Saul Clifasefi and CC UW WDI Program Coordinators. For any questions regarding Financial Aid, please contact osfa@uw.edu.
The maximum conditional grant amount is up to $51,500 over two years for students in the Full-Time Two-Year Program & the Part-Time Program. The maximum conditional grant amount is $25,750 for Advanced Standing students. Award amounts vary depending on the student’s financial need, and is determined during the financial review stage at the time of the application process. Before students commit to their conditional grant, the amount is communicated during the initial contact review stage. The financial award is based on a student’s unmet financial need, which is calculated by the ‘last dollar-in’ FAFSA calculation and student-tuition costs. The unmet need is the student’s cost of attendance minus any scholarships and work study.
