MSW Program Costs: Estimated Tuition & Fees

Tuition-based programs, including full-time MSW programs, are maintained by the Office of Planning & Budgeting and are determined by your residency status, graduate tier, and the total number of credit hours for which you register. Fee-based programs, including the Part-Time MSW options, are maintained by the Continuum College and are charged per credit hour. Please note: these estimates are based on 2025-2026 rates, tuition and fees are subject to annual increases.

The School follows a cohort based rate for MSW tuition/course fees, which means that as long as students continue in the program as expected, their tuition would remain the same as when they entered throughout the duration of their program. This practice applies to both resident and non-resident students.

Social Work students are able to fund their degree utilizing financial aid, fellowships, traineeships, assistantships, and additional programs that may help to supplement their education. Please visit our Funding Resources page for additional information.

Continuing students should reference their Canvas site for tuition/fee rates; these estimates only apply to students entering their program in 2025-2026.
