Applications for the UW School of Social Work WDI are closed the 2022-2023 cycle. Those who have applied will receive an update the week of Feb. 20, regarding their advancement to the fiscal review stage.

1. Submit UW School of Social Work MSW application:

  • By Jan. 4, 2023—Full-time Day Program and Advanced Standing Program applicants
  • By Feb. 15, 2023—Part-time Extended Degree Program (EDP) applicants

2. Submit your FAFSA or WASFA application by Jan. 4, 2023.

  • DACA students should use the WASFA application.

3. Submit the following supplemental application materials here.

  • Current resume. 
  • Degree granting school’s unofficial transcript.
  • Letter-of-recommendation. Share this portal with your recommender for a letter showing your commitment to community-based behavioral health and to working with communities of color. (The recommender may also use the letter written for your MSW application if applicable.)

4. Complete the WDI state application packet. The statewide program portal is open. All applicants, who have submitted their supplemental application materials, will receive an email notification when the WDI state application portal opens. The state application must be completed:

  • By Jan. 30, 2023—Advanced Standing Program applicants
  • By Feb. 15, 2023—Full-time Day and part-time Extended Degree Program applicants
