UW Annual SSW Fall Retreat 2026

The retreat centers on two themes: (1) continuing cultivation our community relationships with each other and (2) forwarding that cultivation within the age of AI. This retreat dives into our values created during our strategic planning while asking fundamental questions of AI in the pursuit of our teaching, research, and service missions. The retreat will be in person for shared activities and with streaming of key presentations/moments*.

The day plans to be one of welcoming everyone back to the school year through community building while beginning a shared conversation about how AI impacts every aspect of our lives at the School of Social Work and how the school should deal with the advances of AI that further our mission.

*the event will have an online option to address needs of accommodation

UW parking is available either via Central Plaza garage (across from SSW), Portage Bay garage W27 or South campus garage complex. HSEB is close to all transit as well.
