2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Volunteer Recognition Award

The M.L.K. Commemoration Committee @ UWSSW is thrilled to share that nominations are now open!  We seek your suggestion for the 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Volunteer Recognition Award.  

Whom do you know that should be noted for how their work continues the legacy of Dr. King at UW SSW?

With our Health Sciences Center colleagues, we will recognize awardees at this two-part, program honoring those who exemplify the national holiday’s principles through their:

Commitment

Commitment to addressing community needs, particularly BIPoC and those who are minoritized

Development

Development and Implementation of significant programs to improve the human condition

Efforts

Outstanding Efforts to protect and empower all people

Please nominate a UWSSW student, staff, faculty, alumni member or group!  Describe the good work they have done and the ways this matches the award’s criteria above.  Please email your brief letter of support for your nominee(s) to our MLK Commemoration Committee, attention: MLKCC, mwambk@uw.edu, no later than Thursday, November 14th at 11:59p.m.
