Angela Visser
Finance & Strategy Director
Angela has more than 17 years of finance experience in state government, most recently with the Washington State Health Care Authority where she worked in the Financial Services Division. She has excelled in other key administrative roles, including associate director of finance and operations at the School’s Alliance for Child Welfare Excellence, budget manager at the state’s Children’s Administration, and senior budget analyst with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services. Angela has extensive knowledge of critical federal funding sources, including Title IV-E, Title XIX, Title XXI, and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
In her new role, she will support the School’s funding operations, strategic partnerships, and work with the School’s leadership to maintain and advance the School of Social Work educational funding across the state.
Angela values the potential impact of collaborative change, such as her work with the Washington State Health and Human Services Enterprise Coalition, a multiorganization effort that provides strategic direction and federal funding guidance for IT projects that improve the health and well-being of Washington state individuals, families and communities.
Outside of work, Visser enjoys recreational activities such as sailing and skiing. She lives in Olympia, Washington with her husband, son and super-mutt Maya.
