Dan Wise
Lecturer
MSW, Boston University
Dan Wise (she/they) has spent more than two decades working with people impacted by poverty and housing instability. Their work has included advocating for social justice; developing programs and initiatives to address the crisis of poverty in our region; and consulting on the development of affordable housing.
Dan is a Deputy Director of a large nonprofit multi-service agency. They started teaching policy and management classes at the University of Washington in 2020. They currently serve as a board member for a nonprofit focused on harm reduction and compassionate care.
Their work is driven by the belief that social work and social justice go hand in hand. Every social worker has a role in transforming policy, elevating voices, and working on reforming inequitable systems.
