Kristin Tucker
Lecturer
MSW, University of Washington
Kristin Tucker is a longtime advocate, educator, and organizer who has spent over two decades working in LGBTQ+ communities and advancing equity initiatives in nonprofit, government, and healthcare organizations. Before obtaining her Master of Social Work from the University of Washington in 2018, Kristin spent over 15 years working with LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, providing counseling and advocacy to individual survivors, facilitating support groups, and teaching relationship skills classes in a variety of settings. This experience shaped Kristin’s understanding of how trauma and systemic oppression shapes our lives and relationships, and the power and potential for healing in community. For more than 20 years, Kristin has been a sought after speaker and facilitator providing training and consultation on creating more inclusive, trauma-informed, and equitable relationships, services, and organizations to thousands of individuals and hundreds of organizations across the United States.
Kristin runs a private therapy and consultation practice in Seattle, focusing on reproductive and perinatal mental health for LGBTQ people, transition to parenthood support for families, and couples & relationship therapy. She is a proud Midwesterner and fat queer femme, avid women’s sports enthusiast, and lives in a boisterous intergenerational household in West Seattle with her family.
