Joshua Center on Child Sexual Abuse Prevention

Since its establishment in 2013, the Joshua Center on Child Sexual Abuse Prevention has worked to eradicate the sexual abuse of youth aged 12 to 17, with a special commitment to underserved youth in diverse communities. In addition to sharing the latest research and proven prevention practices with youth, parents, caregivers and professionals, the Center also works with the University to support the education of students who work in any aspect of child sexual abuse.

Among its work is developing education materials exploring conditions that place youth at risk and sharing strategies to help youth prevent sexual abuse – whether of themselves or of their peers. The Center consults regularly with national organizations and coalitions, including the Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center and Foundation in Rancho Mirage, Calif., where he helped create an animated series on sexual abuse issues for children in different age groups, viewed by millions around the world.
