Robert Hendricks joined the School of Social Work nearly a year ago to manage and re-engineer the School's server infrastructure. As of July 1, when he joined us full time following Melinda McRae's retirement, his responsibilities have increased to include web and Canvas.

Robert is an experienced technology professional with a passion for social change and a knack for making the interface with technology a positive and beneficial experience. He has spent more than 20 years in information technology, building systems to streamline and improve technology environments. Before joining the School full time, Robert also worked in the UW Department of Bio Engineering, managing its web presence and server infrastructure.

Robert is a decorated member of the United States Air Force; attended the University of Oklahoma where he is published in two scientific journals on the genetics of fruit-fly sexual orientation; and he ran the IT department for Seattle’s Oberto Brands beef jerky company.
