The future of healthy aging depends on equity. In her keynote address at the upcoming Elder Friendly Futures Conference, UW School of Social Work Professor Karen Fredriksen-Goldsen will share her research and findings on aging, health disparities and resilience in marginalized communities, including aging LGBT adults. Faculty, staff and students are invited to share their voices in shaping our aging community at the EFF conference on Sept. 15 and 16 in Lynnwood, Washington. It's your opportunity to interact with a diverse range of providers, community professionals, research educators, students and more. Other speakers will discuss what it means to be older and underserved; elder justice and security; shaping the science of health and wellness, as well as cognitive and mental health.
