From a distinguished slate of faculty nominees, our students recently selected their choice for teacher awards.

The 2019 BASW Students’ Choice Teaching Award goes to Jane Macy. Jane (pictured, left), a part-time lecturer, specializes in organizational design, development and leadership.

The 2019 MSW Students’ Choice Teaching Award was a tie. Lecturers Alice Ryan (upper right) and Ariana Cantu (lower right) will share the honor. Ariana’s professional interests include community organizing and advocacy, anti-oppression practice with diverse communities, and program management and fiscal planning. Alice specializes in end-of-life care, grief and loss, and children’s health.

“We greatly value the extraordinary commitment of each of the faculty members nominated and we recognize the profound impact each has had on our students and our community,” said Tessa Evans-Campbell, associate professor and associate dean for academic affairs.

The award recipients will be recognized at the School graduation celebration on June 13. But if you see Jane, Ariana or Alice on campus before then, be sure to congratulate them on their outstanding achievements.
