SSW Building Resources
The Computer Lab (Room 18) offers 23 PC workstations, including a printer and scanner, running a variety of Windows and MS Office applications. A number of specialty software such as graphic, web design, and statistical analysis programs are also available. Printing services offered at a cost. Lab consultant staff can assist students with little or no prior computer experience.
The Research Commons (North end of the 2nd floor) is a multi-purpose technology and collaborative workspace dedicated to meeting the teaching, learning and research needs of the School. The Research Commons is equipped with 13 PCs, 3 scanners, two iMacs, and two high-end workstations, and b/w and color printing services (at a cost). Other key services include: Library/information consultation: SSW Reference Librarian available on-site.
The Media Lab (Room B52) provides free access to equipment and services related to the production of online streaming audio and video (provides free access to equipment and services related to the production of online streaming audio and video (microphones, still and video cameras, use of MAC editing workstations), DVDs, websites, and paper formats.
Walkup Helpdesk Support (Room 12) walkup help for faculty, students, and staff is located in Room 12 by the south entrance to the School.

Media Lab
The SSW Media Lab is located in Room B52, in the basement of the SSW Building.
Media Lab Hours (or by appointment):
Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays: 9am-12noon, 1pm-5pm.
Wednesdays, Thursdays: 1pm-5pm, 6pm-9pm.

Media Lab staff offer reservations and setup of media equipment (various audio-visual and video equipment such as video projectors, LCD displays, Laser discs, amplifiers, speaker systems, still and motion picture projectors, video and audio tape records, video cameras, multi-media computers and monitors), media materials, and rental materials for course support.
Media Lab staff also offer support in the production of media materials, such as making audio/video recordings in online streaming format, photographs, computerized presentations, and instructional documentation in support of classroom instruction, institutional promotion, and special events. This includes using digital and analog editing equipment/software and web programming software to create, maintain, and develop websites and paper-based programs, guides, course material, brochures and other materials.
