The Social Work Alumni Advocacy Partners, or SWAAP, is hosting its first event on Monday, Nov. 8 to recognize National First-Generation College Student Day. A panel of first-generation students will share their ups and downs, the challenges they faced, and the lessons learned. 
The virtual event, scheduled from 5:30–6:30 p.m., is an open discussion so come with your questions and observations to share.
SWAAP, a new alumni group formed this summer, is composed of School graduates who are passionate about social work, equity and justice. They welcome their role as mentors to inspire prospective and current BASW, MSW and PhD students as well as support recent graduates seeking valuable alumni perspectives. RSVP today!
