Prior to joining the UW School of Social Work faculty, Carrie taught for eight years at University of Washington, Bothell in the School of Nursing & Health Studies and the School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences where she developed a teaching praxis grounded in principles of critical pedagogy, embodiment, community engagement and multidisciplinarity. 

Brian Walton is a graduate of the UW School of Social Work CWTAP program and is now a teaching associate and field instructor with CWTAP, supervising and supporting students working towards earning their MSW. Before joining the UW, Brian worked with the Department of Children Youth and Families for 10 years as a social worker and supervisor in an adolescent-focused Child Family Welfare Services unit.
