Leadership changes for PhD program and multigenerational concentration
Some important changes affecting the leadership of two School programs have just been announced. Beginning in mid-May, Nancy Hooyman, Nancy R. Hooyman Endowed Professor of Gerontology and Dean Emeritus, will become the PhD program director.

Spring break building updates and new business office hours
During the week of March 20, the School of Social Work observes the UW spring break with the following schedule and room changes:
Research Commons: Open during public business hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday thru Friday. There are no extended hours or weekend hours until Monday, March 27.

On January 12, with uplifting chords from the Eckstein Middle School jazz band, the UW MLK Tribute—In Our Time: Be a Drum Major for Justice—recognized distinguished service of community members in the University of Washington six health science schools: dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, public health, medicine and social work.

Speak up for those who stand out
